E-Fly Schedule

(all times subject to change depending upon wind, weather and number of pilots at the event)

Saturday, July 11th

• 7:30 a.m. Pilot registration opens
• 8:15 a.m. Pilot Meeting
• 8:20 a.m. Flying open
• 11:00 a.m. Approximately – Flying pause for parachute drop for the kids attending. Flying resumes immediately after kids clear the field.
• 2:30 p.m. Pilot Raffle #1
• 6:00 p.m. Approximate flying time close
• 7:00 p.m. Dinner at Maple Tree Resturant for those who wish to attend
• 9:00 p.m. Night flying at ???????

Our friend Ron Jensen from Sparta has issued a challenge.
He says he is going to claim the skies of our MARCS field. This will take place on Saturday late afternoon. This is a full combat challenge with the last plane up being the victor!!
Ron will be flying a combat plane designed by N2RCPLANES. I got to fly this plane at the Rapids E-Fly and it flies nice!! Check it out here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?p=9387205#post9387205
You don’t have to fly this particular plane, but something along these lines would be nice – a flitter, a hopped up Slow Stick, or your own Depron/Pink/Blue Foam design.

Dustin Buescher – Electra Jet Demo Pilot
Dustin Buescher lives in Sanford, Florida. He has worked for Bob Violett Models since 2005 as a development engineer, technical consultant, and as a pilot doing product testing and show flight demonstrations. He started flying R/C at age of 7. He began flying ducted fan jets in 1999 at age of 18. He transitioned into turbine powered jets in 2003. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from UW Platteville 2005. Besides his recognized flying performances at Florida Jets he has competed in the "Top Gun" event since 2005. He was a team member on the USA team competing in the World Jet Masters scale aerobatic competition in Hungary, 2005 and Northern Ireland, 2007. Besides flying R/C, he also holds a private pilot's license. Dustin was a member of the Madison Area Radio Control Society.

Electrifly E-Performance XLC Series Edge 540T Raffle.
The Edge 540T has been test flown, a report has been given to Great Planes as per the donation, and will now be raffled off The plane is ready to fly after you add your receiver, set-up the plane on your transmitter, and charge the included 4s Lipo battery.
Tickets are only available to MARCS club members and registered pilots at the Electric Fun Fly on July 11th and 12th. The plane will be raffled off on the 12th at approximately 1:00 p.m. You DO NOT need to be present to win. The plane and included/installed equipment are valued at over $400.00!!!!! (and you don’t have to build it!)
Tickets are $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00 and will be sold at the May, June and July meetings and at both days of the Electric Fun Fly. Dave Rush will also have tickets available when he is flying at the field.
